WINNER SPOTLIGHT

Meet Tara

Indianapolis, Indiana

Tara created Swim For All to provide free, one-on-one swim lessons to kids with disabilities. Inspired by her uncle who was never afforded the chance to learn to swim, she went on to teach over 350 kids and raise over $25,000. When the pandemic hit and pools were closed, she re-allocated Swim For All’s funding, gathered a group of classmates, and delivered fresh food, holiday meals and winter coats to low-income families in her community throughout 2020.

IN TARA’S OWN WORDS

“Swim clinics were no longer an option, but I began to recognize new problems in my community where I could lend a hand.”
