WINNER SPOTLIGHT
Meet Lindsay
California
After seeing so many homeless people in Los Angeles living without necessities, Lindsay decided she wanted to help get each person something she took for granted – shoes. Through her organization Shoes for Souls, she has donated and distributed 35,000 pairs of shoes. Over the past 5 years, she has run shoe drives through her neighborhood, local organizations, and synagogues. Every pair is checked for quality and sorted before going to shelters throughout California.
IN LINDSAY’S OWN WORDS
“I am a firm believer that shoes can change someone's life. Shoes are something so simple, yet such a necessity that many people don't have.”
