Meet Ishva

New Jersey

Before the pandemic struck, Ishva was already passionate about closing the knowledge gap between children of low-income families and their peers. As it became obvious that virtual schooling was causing learning loss, Ishva took her tutoring organization – Write & Co. – online with free monthly virtual learning toolkits comprised of an animated video and activity sheet. These accessible toolkits kept kids actively learning at no cost to their parents. Ishva also continued tutoring virtually, helping over 150 students.

IN ISHVA’S OWN WORDS

“I did not want background or affordability to be a barrier in anyone’s learning. Thus, Write & Co was born.”
