Meet Elly

Georgia

Everything Elly invests her time in is in pursuit of ending systemic inequalities that marginalized groups face. One of her most prominent efforts has been through the founding of the American Assimilation Helpline (AAH), a free tutoring helpline for kids of Syrian refugee families. Since then, AAH has expanded to reach 700 low-income immigrant and refugee students around the world and has added tutors for STEM subjects to help make computer science more inclusive.

IN ELLY’S OWN WORDS

“Equality should always remain a priority in policy and efforts to reduce structural violence, yet the lack of it is prominent globally.”
