About the Program

What is Invisalign ChangeMakers?

The Invisalign® brand has established a partnership with National 4-H Council to celebrate and highlight teens making an impact in the community. What better way to drown out the negative than with unexpected moments of goodness from young people just like you? In addition to bringing light to all the good acts teens like you have contributed to the community, chosen winners who are public servants and leaders in their community will also be awarded a one-time $5,000 cash award.

What is 4-H?

4‑H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. They give young people of all beliefs and backgrounds a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.

How do I join 4-H?

Go to and contact your county Extension office to learn about 4‑H clubs, camps, and after school programs in your area.

How many winners will be chosen?

We’ll choose 100 winners – 30 of which must be active 4-H members. The other 70 winners will be community-oriented teens from across the U.S.

Why are you picking 30 winners from 4-H?

Aside from 4-H being one of our primary partners, we would also like to acknowledge 30 of their active teen members for all the good they’ve done in their community.

The Reward

What’s the reward?

Winners will receive a $5,000 cash award, which can be used as soon as it’s been disbursed via an electronic fund transfer (EFT). A virtual celebration will also be hosted in honor of all the winners. Finally, the Invisalign brand will publicly unveil the 100 winners of the Invisalign ChangeMakers initiative.

What can the cash reward be used for?

However you would like to use it, you’re absolutely free to do so. If you would like to save it for college expenses, invest in your local community, or finance a course you’re interested in… it’s completely up to you!

How do I apply?

Just complete your portion of the online application, provide the names and email addresses for two references, and be sure that both your portion and your references’ portion are complete no later than March 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM PT.

Will I be able to view the status of my references’ portion of the online application?

Yes, you will get the opportunity to keep track of whether the references you’ve provided have already completed their portion of the application. Keep in mind that the references you’ve provided will have to complete their part in the application for your own application to be considered complete!

Can I submit my application by mail?

No. As much as we’d love to receive applications by mail, the online application link is the easiest (and only) way to apply!

Do I need to be an Invisalign patient to apply?

There’s no need. This is the Invisalign® brand’s way of celebrating teens in the community who have been a positive agent of change. Since you have uplifted your community in exchange for nothing more than a smile and a thank you, we would like to put a smile on your face in return for the work you've done for others.

Can I edit my application after submission?

Once you’ve filled out the online application form and hit “Submit”, you’ll no longer be able to make changes. However, you can save draft versions of your application prior to submitting it. So be sure to double check your application before submitting!

Do you have to be enrolled in school to qualify?

Not at all. So long as you meet the criteria and have done your part to make your community a better place, then you’re eligible to apply and participate in the program. The application does not require a school transcript or GPA submission of any kind.

Do I need to be a citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S. to apply?

Yes, the Invisalign ChangeMakers initiative is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and DACA recipients only. If you are a legal resident of the U.S. and meet the other criteria, you are more than welcome to apply.

How will I know if my application has been submitted successfully?

We’ll send you a confirmation email after your application has been received.

Are there any specific actions you are looking for when it comes to impacting my community?

If you have done something in the last 12 months to benefit a community, share it with us! We are proud to support a wide range of community efforts including, but not limited to:
  • Pandemic relief
  • Environmental causes
  • Social work
  • LGBTQ rights
  • Women’s rights
Big or small, so long as you’ve made an impact (to many or just a few) and been a part of a group effort or something you did all by yourself – we want to hear it.

What types of video format can I submit?

It should be in one of the following formats: .avi, .mp4, .mov, YouTube link (must be full URL from the top of the page. Short links generated from the “share” button will not be accepted), or Vimeo link (similar stipulation as YouTube). The video should not exceed 1 GB

What is not allowed in my video?

Let’s keep it clean, shall we? Make sure to:
  • Avoid any obscenity, crude or vulgar language, violence or anything of an illegal nature in your video
  • Secure permission if you’re including other people
  • Avoid including other logos, brands or products owned by others in your video as well as any music or creative property that is copyrighted or owned by a third party without permission

I am under 18 years old. Do I need a parent/guardian signature to complete my application?

If you are under 18 years old, we recommend you consult your parent/guardian before applying. If you apply and are selected as a winner, your parent/guardian will have to complete an affidavit which will be provided at that time.

Can I post about my application on social media using #InvisChangeMakers?

Absolutely! You’re welcome and encouraged to use the hashtag to share with your network that you have applied to be an Invisalign ChangeMaker. Social media amplification is a great way to inspire other teens to get involved in their local community. However, use of the hashtag will not impact your application in any way.
