Welcome. Chances are good that you're here because your teen is interested in getting the Invisalign Teen™ system. We know it's an important decision and one for which you'll want the right information. This section is here to give you the facts you need to have a discussion with your teen and make up your mind.

Since the Invisalign Teen system was designed especially for teens, it-like other orthodontics-offers many health benefits, both during treatment and long-term. Keep reading to learn about the reasons that make Invisalign Teen the right choice for your teen.

Treatable conditions

Invisalign Teen™ really works. It helps correct a broad range of dental and orthodontic issues. You can get a confident smile without metal bands, brackets, or wires.

It works on many kinds of conditions, including:

  • Overly Crowded Teeth
  • Widely Spaced Teeth
  • Crossbite
  • OverBite
  • Underbite

In the past, traditional braces were typically used to treat those conditions. Now Invisalign Teen can treat them using its advanced technology.

Be sure to consult an Invisalign Teen provider who's been trained about the product. Your provider will create a plan to treat your specific orthodontic issues. And help you get the smile you want.

It fits your life

Invisalign Teen™ is designed to custom-fit your teeth and go with your lifestyle. During your treatment, you can keep smiling, playing sports, eating what you want, and brushing and flossing normally. Plus, unlike traditional braces, the aligners are made of smooth plastic and move your teeth gradually.

Now read on to learn the health benefits of Invisalign Teen, as well as what conditions it can treat.

Healthy Benefits

Sure, straight teeth look great. But straight teeth also give you a healthy smile. Here are some of the health benefits of orthodontic treatment, which you can get with an Invisalign Teen smile.

Self-confidence

After your Invisalign Teen treatment, you may find your self-confidence boosted by your new smile and the change in your appearance. Some people even feel that way during treatment. As you know, smiling has many benefits. It can help you make a strong impression in lots of different social situations – at school, at work, or at a party.

Easier brushing and flossing

One of the best things about Invisalign Teen is that it uses no metal bands, brackets, or wires, which may trap food and plaque. During treatment, you can take your aligners out to brush and floss normally. And no more worrying that you have embarrassing food caught in your braces. Also, dental cleanings are a whole lot easier and faster than they'd be with regular braces. Of course, when you finish your treatment, you'll have straighter teeth.1 So brushing and flossing continues to be easy.

Healthier gums

When your teeth are crowded or too widely spaced, you can get swollen gums and redness – signs of periodontal disease.
All of that can make you less likely to smile, even when you want to make a good impression, like in photos or at an interview. Clinical studies show that when teeth are straight, the gums fit tighter around the teeth, which can lead to better periodontal health.2 Your gum health may improve after your
InvisalignTeen treatment.3

Less stress on joints

Misaligned teeth can cause painful stress on supporting bone and jaw joints, as well as cause abnormal wear on your teeth, which can lead to even more problems. The good news is that Invisalign Teen can help solve those problems by properly aligning your teeth.

The Straight Facts

  • More reasons to smile. Because Invisalign Teen aligners are virtually invisible, you can smile all you want. Most likely, the only way people will know about your treatment is if you choose to tell them.

  • A whole lot of reasons to say cheese! Invisalign is an
FDA-cleared orthodontic treatment that has been
chosen by nearly one million patients worldwide.

  • Healthier pearly whites? Unlike with metal braces, you can brush and floss your teeth normally with Invisalign Teen. That means fresh breath, as well as less chance of plaque, decay, and gum disease.

  • Less bother. There's no metal wires or brackets to poke, or tear your mouth and gums. Invisalign Teen aligners are made of smooth plastic that custom-fit your teeth.

  • An average treatment takes about a year.

  • You're still changing so we did too. Different than regular Invisalign aligners, Invisalign Teen aligners allow for growing adult molars.

  • The Blue Dot Wear Indicator provides an estimation of wear-time. The dot is designed to fade to clear over a two-week period if you wear your aligners properly. You should wear them 20 to 22 hours everyday.

  • Don't sweat it. If you lose an aligner, we give up to six, free, individual ones.

  • The good news. The Invisalign Teen system usually costs about the same as traditional and other clear braces.

  • Another name isn't the same. Be sure you’re getting Invisalign Teen™ clear aligners and not imposters. Make sure the aligners say Invisalign on them.
